just heard this terribly sad and unexpected news through Twitter. Nick was a lovely person, very talented indeed and will be a great loss to our Illustration community. My thoughts to his family and friends and to the eastwing team. Jill Calder
Very sad news. I had the pleasure of working with him, and he was very talented and professional, as well as a nice guy. Condolences to his loved ones, friends, and colleagues.
This is so sad. His work was brilliant, whimsical and always so tight. Very inspirational. Thoughts and prayers for family and illustration colleagues.
I’m so sad to hear this news. Nick was such a talented illustrator and will be greatly missed. I did have the pleasure of his company a number of years ago when he visited the UK for the AOI awards show. He was a gentleman with a gentle accent and a sharp dress sense. My thoughts go out to his family and friends.
Very sad and shocking that such a talented and lovely gentle guy as Nick should be taken so prematurely. I shall think about him often and my condolences go to his family and friends.
We are family friends of the Dewars and yet I had not seen Nick in a long time. I remember very fondly of early childhood days in their family home jumping off steps together onto large cushions, again and again and again….! Such a lovely guy, and I’m devastated to hear the news. Our love goes to Bob, Isla and Adam and to Nick’s wife.
A big loss.

Absolutely heart breaking.
We will not see another Nick Dewar artwork…
An inspiration for several years. A very smart illustrator. Condolences.
