I studied at Oxford University and Central Saint Martin's College of Art.
Since the late 1990s I have been working internationally across every branch of illustration, from advertising to animation design, book publishing to newspapers and magazines to website design.

I like to work with found objects and add my own drawings and scanned and printed textures to create either something completely new or something that looks like an original 19th century engraving but has, in fact, been made from scratch. I use this style in response to highly conceptual briefs (I'm frequently commissioned by science, medical and economics publications) and always like to inject energy and humour.

My inspirations include Paul Rand, Eric Ravillious, Edward Bawden, Lucienne Day, Alexey Brodovitch, Futurism, Dada and Bauhaus.

My clients have included: HSBC, Lloyds Bank, BMA, The Economist, Wall Street Journal, New York Times, and many others.
