Stanley graduated from Loughborough university in 1999, first moving to London (the lights drew him in), and then to Brighton where he currently resides with a wife and two very small children. He enjoys walking into the sea and quickly leaping out again, fairgrounds, farm animals and bicycles, in that order.

For the past nine years he has happily worked as an illustrator for editorial and publishing clients in both the UK and the USA. He is inspired by the sea, its gulls, biscuits, the human brain and his collection of robots, but mainly biscuits. This is reflected in the collaged nature of his work, elements from everywhere.
