Doodling is something I've always done, from drawing on my lecture notes at college to my meeting notes in the office job I managed to escape. Let's call this focussed doodling... Since escaping the office, I've spent lots of time people-watching, in cafes, in the street, in parks. I have a sharp eye for what people say and the way they behave.

My hand-drawn work in black and white using a Rotring pen is highly personal and observational - the story is an important as the illustration. Working with a coloured line in Adobe Illustrator, my intention is always to produce something that looks hand-made. I am able to work in great detail and have had regular spots producing accurate and detailed gardening illustrations for The Guardian Magazine and Gardener's World. I also like to work in a fun, brightly coloured psychedelic style which has won me commissions from fashion and lifestyle magazines and advertising including providing 'the face' of decadent drinks brand, La Fee Absinthe.

My fantasy dinner party invites include Aubrey Beardsley, Alfons Mucha, Erte, Jaime Hernandez, Djuna Barnes, Posy Simmonds, and French graffiti artist Miss Tic.

I can be found hanging out in Paris and London and am currently writing and illustrating a book for the Tate London.
